José Manuel Almuzara Pérez was born in Nador, Morocco, in 1952, along the Mediterranean, during the Spanish protectorate era. He completed his high school education at INEM Milá i Fontanals and pursued his architectural studies at the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Barcelona. He has been a practicing architect since March 1977, working independently and for a decade also as a professor.
